Suspect in custody after injuring two people at Red Roof Inn Meridian

The Meridian Police Department has reported that they have apprehended a man who was suspected of shooting and causing injuries to two individuals at a local hotel in Meridian.
Gunshots were reportedly fired in the parking lot or nearby area of the Red Roof Inn located on South Frontage Road.
According to initial reports, two individuals who were inside a car were struck by the gunfire, and the vehicle was subsequently stopped near the Texas Turnaround.
There is information indicating that one of the individuals may be in critical condition, while the other is wounded.
