One killed, one injured in shooting at Westmark Credit Union in Eagle

According to preliminary reports, a man aged 38 entered a business in the Eagle Road/Eagle River Street area on Wednesday afternoon, around 1 p.m., and shot two individuals, resulting in the death of one woman and the injury of another.

The shooter then exited the building, got into a car parked in the lot, and shot himself in the head. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The injured woman is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital for what seem to be severe but non-fatal injuries.

The authorities have identified the shooter and the deceased woman, and it seems that the man was acquainted with the female victim and specifically targeted her during the attack. It is uncertain if there was any connection between the shooter and the injured woman.

The detectives are actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of the shooting but have not yet released the names of those involved as they contact the families and collect evidence.

Police in Eagle are investigating a shooting that occurred at a business located in the vicinity of Eagle Road and Eagle River Street.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office reported that one individual had been killed and another injured.

Emergency response teams from multiple agencies are currently present at an active scene located along Eagle Road, just south of Highway 44.

The area, which is close to a Westmark Credit Union and a number of restaurants, has been cordoned off. According to the sheriff’s office, the suspected shooter is now in custody, and there appears to be no imminent danger to the public.

Responders from Ada County, the Eagle Police and Fire departments, and paramedics are all on site.

In a Twitter post, the Eagle Fire Department advised people to avoid the area.
