Police use stun gun on man during argument in Anaheim park

Police used a stun gun to subdue a man who was shouting at them, smoking, and clutching what looked to be a cellphone in Anaheim on Wednesday night.

Police used a stun gun to subdue a man who was shouting at them, smoking, and clutching what looked to be a cellphone in Anaheim on Wednesday night.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., police were dispatched to Manzanita Park, where the male subject was discovered next to a playground.

The individual could be seen on the video footage standing close to the officers with what appeared to be a cellphone in one hand and his other hand raised in the air.

At one point in the video, the suspect is seen smoking something before yelling at the police officers.

The man eventually got down on his knees, but continued to argue with authorities until they deployed a stun gun to subdue him.

The suspect was allowed to walk to a patrol vehicle after being apprehended by officers.

He was ultimately placed into an ambulance and transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
