Police in Albuquerque reported having the “main suspect” in the murders of four Muslim men in New Mexico in custody.

According to Albuquerque police, the “main suspect” in the murders of four Muslim men in New Mexico was apprehended on Tuesday.

The declaration follows news that New Mexico police are looking into the potential that a serial killer has been targeting Muslims in the biggest city in the state.

“We located the car thought to have been used in the recent murder of a Muslim guy in Albuquerque. The city’s police chief, Harold Medina, tweeted on Tuesday, “The driver was apprehended and he is our major suspect for the murders.

The suspect’s identity was kept a secret by Medina, who also stated that his agency would disclose more information later today afternoon.

A picture of a dark gray or silver Volkswagen sedan that Albuquerque police suspected to be associated with the murderer was made public on Sunday.

The governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, announced on Saturday that more state police had been sent out to aid in the hunt for the murderer.

She posted on Twitter, “The targeted assassinations of Muslim inhabitants of Albuquerque is terribly angering and utterly reprehensible.”

The Democrat added in a statement, “We WILL find them. We will not relent in our pursuit of justice for the victims and their families, and we are bringing every resource to bear to catch the perpetrator or killers.

Friday’s murder victims include Naeem Hussain, a Pakistani guy. His demise came after the murders of Muhammad Afzaal Hussain on Monday, Aftab Hussain on July 26, and Mohammad Ahmadi in November 2021. Four males were shot, and according to officials, all four were practicing Muslims.

The shootings have scared the few Muslims in New Mexico, who make up less than 1% of the state’s two million people.
