RHOSLC star Jen Shah to plead guilty to fraud just days before trial as star faces 50 years in prison

Jennifer Shah, a star of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” is slated to appear in court on Monday for a hearing that had not been previously scheduled. At this hearing, she is anticipated to enter a guilty plea to criminal charges that come from an alleged telemarketing scheme.

It was alleged that Shah, along with others, carried out a widespread telemarketing operation that deceived hundreds of people across the United States, the majority of them were over the age of 55.

Shah was first charged with plotting to commit wire fraud and plotting to launder money through telemarketing. He pleaded not guilty, and his trial was set to start next week.

There was an initial lack of clarity regarding the charge(s) or counts that Shah would be pleading guilty to.

Prosecutors from the federal government have said that Shah and her aide Stuart Smith, who has also pleaded guilty, were among those “responsible for organizing the bigger scam” and supplied “leads that supported sales levels.” In November of last year, Smith, who had also first pleaded not guilty, altered his plea to guilty.

As is the case with a great deal of the other similar series, “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is famous for depicting the opulent way of life led by its cast members.

The Bravo television show has been attended by Shah, now 48 years old, during both of its seasons. In the second season, which concluded in March, she was shown defending herself against allegations of fraud.
