According to the reports from the Phoenix police department, Remains of a human were discovered inside of a suitcase on Saturday morning near Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway.

Just after 6:45 in the morning, according to officials, police received a call reporting the discovery of human remains.

The victim has been named as Jennifer Beede, age 39.

According to the police, detectives are conducting an active investigation into this occurrence to determine the sequence of events that led up to this tragedy.

When a woman was out on her regular bike ride, she came upon what initially appeared to be a dead body.

“At that time, I was travelling on this gravel road. I came across a suitcase in the middle of the desert that appeared to be nothing more than a piece of trash, and I decided to take a closer look at it.

A neighbor stated that after seeing the luggage, the bicyclist reported on the Next Door app that she had witnessed something alarming.

The woman got a second look at the bag while she was walking back when it was light out. The suitcase was located on a public trail approximately one hundred yards away from the main road.

She added: “When I looked at it and when I rode by it, I observed that it had a head. It was damp, and I thought I saw a leg or a knee or something sticking out of the ground.”

When the police arrived, they informed the cyclist that they had found the body of a woman there and that she had passed away.

FOX3 was told by locals that the trail receives a lot of foot activity, which indicates that the body could not have been there for a very long time.

Regarding Beede’s passing, there has been no further information disclosed.
