The False Report Concerning Lebanon Middle School Prompts the Response from the Lebanon Police Department

At 10:25 a.m. on December 8th, 2022, the Lebanon Police Department got a report of a shooter who was currently active at the Lebanon Middle School. Since then, it has been established beyond a reasonable doubt that this call was a hoax.
The officers from Lebanon responded immediately to the school and discovered nothing suspicious or threatening when they arrived.
Additionally, it has been brought to our attention that multiple other localities in the state of New Hampshire received identical reports of an active shooter at the same time. The Lebanon Police Department is now looking into this event as part of their ongoing investigation.
Throughout the course of the school day, the Lebanon Police Department will have a heightened presence at each and every school in Lebanon to ensure the schools’ safety and security.
