There are reports of gunshots at a restaurant across from the campus.
A report of shots fired at Fiesta Jalisco restaurant across the street from John Jay High School.
John Jay is on a modified lock down.
Police say there are no injures at the La Fiesta de Jalisco and this is not an active shooter incident.
Officers and detectives are currently on scene conducting an investigation.
As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.
No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
