Minico High School no longer on lockdown, Person of interest in custody
FOX3 confirmed there is not an active shooter at Minico High School.Everyone is safe and we will continue to investigate the issue until we are certain there is no longer a threat.

The Minidoka County Sheriff has let the students to go, and the lockdown at the high school has been lifted. Person of interest has been taken into custody.
Update: MSO has released the students and the high school is no longer on lockdown. Person of interest is in custody. No other information is available at this time.
At this time, everything is being taken care of by multiple agencies. Everyone is safe and we will continue to investigate the issue until we are certain there is no longer a threat.
Minico High School is on complete lockdown at this time (3:30pm), no one is allowed in to or out of the facilities or the campus to include parents and students.
The Minidoka County Sheriff’s Dept, along with Heyburn PD, Rupert PD and Cassia County Sheriff’s have secured and surrounded the Minico Campus.

The Minidoka County Sheriff’s Dept. has not released any information at this time as to why the school is on complete lockdown. As soon as more information is released we will let you know.
