FAKE SHOOTING CALLS Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says around 1025a they received a call about a shooting at Blythewood High School.
Deputies found no active shooter and determined it was a hoax.
Sheriff Lott said ‘Even though it was fake. The emotions were real. The fear was real.’
RCSD is on scene at Blythewood High School after receiving a report that a gunshot was fired. Deputies are securing the school and evaluating the credibility of the threat at this time. Stay clear of the area as it is congested.
Students will be released to parents from the stadium at Blythewood high school. Please have your id and be patient as traffic will be heavy. Any parents at IGA will be redirected.
