Reports of shots fired near Overton Elementary School
Reports of shots fired around the 3600 block of 31st Street. Shots are reported from in the neighborhood and not inside the Overton Elementary School .
Reports of shots fired around the 3600 block of 31st Street. Shots are reported from in the neighborhood and not inside the school nearby.
According to LPD, LISD Police and LPD will be clearing Overton Elementary out of extreme caution.
Police email says there is no connection to the school and no active shooter.
They also emphasized that there is no active shooter situation in the school.
LISD said the school was never put on lockdown; however, it was secured due to the situation.
A student reunification spot has been set on 29th Street and Louisville.
