Ex-NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani Assaulted By Grocery Store Worker In Staten Island
After being assaulted by a worker at a ShopRite in Staten Island on Sunday while campaigning for his son, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, now 78 years old, was left shaken, according to witnesses and law enforcement officials. The incident occurred when Giuliani was campaigning for his son.
Giuliani stated to FOX3 that he almost lost his composure when he was attacked, but he was able to retrieve it despite the fact that his assailant continued to curse at him.
Andrew Giuliani, who is running for governor with his father, described his father as “tough as nails” in a recent interview.
Witness During the attack at the grocery on Veterans Road, Rita Rugova-Johnson said she was “stunned” and gave an interview to FOX3.
Rugova-Johnson stated that they were in close proximity to one another inside of ShopRite. “We were having a conversation when all of a sudden an employee appeared out of nowhere, smacked him on the back with an open hand, and asked, “Hey, what’s up, you scumbag?”
The witness stated that [the offender] was working at the time of the attack. “The police took him into custody.”
According to our sources, law enforcement put the suspect into custody while they were still at the store.
According to sources inside the law enforcement community, the suspect, who is 39 years old and is from Staten Island, will be charged with assault in the second degree for an incident involving a person aged 65 or older. According to the sources, the individual does not have any prior arrests.
According to our sources, the police were called to the supermarket just before 3:30 in the afternoon.
After the assault, it is unknown whether or not the former mayor sought medical assistance for his injuries.
After some time had passed, Andrew reported that his father was in good health. “However, it is a sad day when the finest crime fighter that New Yorkers have, “America’s Mayor,” gets attacked. I place the blame for promoting violence on the left-wing. This is completely insane.

He reported that his father was in a good mood and even made a witty remark, saying, “I ran into the sole person who is not voting for Andrew Giuliani.”
He convinced his son that he was in a good mood by saying, “I’m feelin’ terrific.”
Rudy Giuliani is also a lawyer for former President Donald Trump. At the time of the attack, his partner, Dr. Maria Ryan, told FOX3 that Rudy was campaigning for his son by doing things like posing for photos.
The younger Giuliani is running for governor of New York as a Republican candidate, and his primary opponents include the representative for Long Island, Lee Zeldin; the former executive of Westchester County, Rob Astorino; and businessman Harry Wilson. He is seeking the nomination of the Republican Party.
Ryan affirmed that Rudy had been the victim of an attack. He is a 78-year-old man who suffers from both terrible knees and bad back.
