Donovan Hart arrested and charged in the shooting death of LaTonia Moore
LaTonia Moore was killed inside her home on Greene Lane

An 18-year-old Ruston resident named Donovan Hart has been apprehended and accused of Second Degree Murder.
On Wednesday, detectives named Hart as a potential suspect in the murder of LaTonia Moore, who was shot to death.
On Friday, Hart was apprehended during a traffic stop in Simsboro thanks to help from the public.
He was questioned by investigators and subsequently detained at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Currently, he is being detained on a $1,000,000 bond. Our detectives will keep investigating the case, and additional information will be made public when it is available.

On March 7, 2023 LPSO began investigating a shooting that left a Ruston woman dead. LaTonia Moore (38) was killed inside her home on Greene Lane shortly after 1PM. Detectives responded and began processing the scene and interviewing witnesses.

As the investigation progressed, a suspect was identified as Donovan Hart (18) of Ruston. Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding his whereabouts, please contact our office or Crimestoppers. Hart should be considered armed and dangerous.
