Small plane makes emergency landing on San Marcos street, hits car

A PLANE has emergency landed in the midst of a busy San Marcos intersection, striking a car and leaving spectators astonished.

A small plane reportedly made an emergency landing in the center of a busy junction in San Marcos on Saturday afternoon and damaged a car while doing so, according to the police. The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.

According to Lieutenant Ryan Wisniewski of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the tiny Cessna aircraft made an emergency landing in San Marcos at approximately 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Fe Road and Melrose Drive.

At this time, all of the passengers who were inside the plane as well as the vehicle that was struck have been safely evacuated, and those who were inside the automobile are currently being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening. It is unknown how many people were involved in this incident.

Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department have reported that road closures are about to take place as officials try to clean up the scene of the incident.

No one knows what caused the emergency landing to take place.
