Silver Creek High School in Longmont is currently in secure status as police carry out a high-risk warrant in connection to a criminal incident in Boulder.
Longmont Police Department announced on Facebook at 2:30 p.m. that officers are executing a search and arrest warrant at 620 Grandview Meadows Drive.
According to Boulder Police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh, the warrant is related to a felony menacing and robbery that took place on Thursday.
The school, located at 4901 Nelson Road, is on secure status, meaning the doors are locked, but classes are continuing as usual.
No other schools in the St. Vrain Valley area are affected by the warrant, which is unrelated to the school.
Police have also informed the public of road closures near the address on Nelson Road.
