Shaquille Deonte Bratcher shot and killed in shooting in Fayetteville, NC
There were two male victims that had been shot during the incident. The male victim of the homicide has been identified as Shaquille Deonte Bratcher (29 years of age). His family has been notified.

(Fayetteville, NC) – On October 18, 2022 at 11:04 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the 7300 block of S Raeford Road.

There were two male victims that had been shot during the incident. The male victim of the homicide has been identified as Shaquille Deonte Bratcher (29 years of age). His family has been notified.
This incident is being actively investigated by members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

(Fayetteville, NC) – On October 18, 2022, at 11:04 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a reported shooting along the 7300 block of S Raeford Road.
Upon arrival on scene, officers made contact with one of the victims that had been struck by gunfire while riding inside of one of the vehicles that was on scene. The vehicle was struck numerous times by gunfire and the driver ran off the road and down the embankment. There was a second male that was inside the vehicle that was also struck by gunfire and he was pronounced dead on scene.
The identity of the deceased victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
There was another vehicle on scene that had been struck by the victim’s vehicle prior to it going off the road and down the embankment. The driver of this vehicle was not injured and was not involved in the shooting incident.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation by members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
S Raeford Road is currently closed in both directions of travel between Pinewood Terrace and Rayconda Place. All motorists are urged to utilize an alternate route while traveling through this area.
