Shark attack in Long Island Beach – Man is hospitalized after ‘possible bite’ following spate of sightings in US beaches

On Long Island, a man is being evaluated for what may be the effects of a shark bite.

The incident occurred in Smith Point County Park on Wednesday morning.

The man was transported by emergency personnel to a local hospital.

He informed them that a shark had attacked him.

As a result of the incident, the swimming area of Smith Point Beach was made temporarily closed.
