The shooting that took place on the Bijou Street bridge over Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs on Friday resulted in the death of one person, according to the police.

Robert Tornabene, a spokesman for the police department, said that they received the report of the gunshot just before noon. The bridge would not reopen to vehicle traffic for the subsequent number of hours.
According to the police, two people were strolling across the bridge when they came face to face with one another, at which point one of them pulled out a revolver and shot the other.
“The victim was travelling down the road on Bijou when the attack occurred. He had some sort of interaction with a person, and it is thought that they are familiar with one another “Tornabene remarked. “The other suspect brought out a revolver and promptly shot the victim when they confronted each other,”
According to the police, the male suspect was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and multi-colored Nike shoes. The officers reportedly characterised the suspect as being between the ages of 40 and 50. Because it is believed that the shooting occurred between two people who knew each other, the police do not believe there is a threat to the general populace as a result of the occurrence.
According to Tornabene, the only piece of information that the CSPD presently has on the victim is that he is a male. As of late Friday afternoon, the suspect had not been captured by law enforcement.
