3 dead, 4 injured after shooting in Beverly Crest upscale Los Angeles neighborhood

Investigators can confirm that this WAS NOT an active shooter situation.

Around 2:30 a.m. this morning, LAPD West LA officers received multiple 911 calls of a shooting with people down at a residence in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive.

When officers arrived, they found 5 victims suffering from gunshot wounds, LAFD responded, and pronounced 3 of those victims dead at scene. We’re awaiting the coroner to make a determination as to the ages and genders of the deceased.

There were 4 additional victims that were transported to local hospitals. At this time, we have 2 in critical condition and 2 listed in stable condition. With a total of 7 gunshot victims. Again, because of the ongoing investigation, we’re not releasing their ages or genders.

At this time, we know that’s it a Short-term rental property, and we’re still interviewing additional occupants of the house as well as neighbors and witnesses. Investigators are combing the area for any surveillance to help us in this homicide investigation.

We’re asking anyone with information about this murder to contact LAPDs Robbery Homicide Division at (213) 486 6890.
