Three killed, 14 injured in Chattanooga, Tennessee, shooting that left several victims hit by fleeing cars

According to the reports from the local police, a shooting that took place early on Sunday morning close to a nightclub in Tennessee resulted in the deaths of three persons and injured a total of 14 others.
During a press conference, Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy stated that there were seventeen persons injured as a result of the shooting, including fourteen people who were shot and three people who were struck by vehicles while attempting to flee the scene. According to Murphy, three people died as a result of gunshot wounds, and one person died as a result of being struck by a vehicle. She stated that seventeen of the victims were adults, one of the victims was a minor, and that several of the patients remained in critical condition.
At 2:42 in the morning, police were called to McCallie Avenue near a nightclub in response to a complaint of a gunshot. When they arrived, they discovered many victims of the incident. She stated that cops rushed to the location and began providing medical assistance as well as securing it promptly.
Murphy has requested that anyone in the neighborhood who may have knowledge about the shooting come forward. There were numerous shooters at the scene. She stated that authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety and that they believe the incident in question was an isolated one.
Murphy predicted that the probe would be lengthy and complicated.
Asked about the investigation, she replied, “We are trying to find out exactly what happened and what led to this taking place.”
The shooting comes just a few days after six adolescents were shot and wounded in a downtown Chattanooga business sector after an exchange of gunfire.
