Person shot in Greensboro late Friday afternoon, police say

According to a press release issued by the Greensboro Police Department, a person was shot on Friday afternoon in the west Greensboro neighborhood.

A shooting was reported to have occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Hiltin Place and West Market Street, and officers arrived to the scene. They identified one person who had been shot and was suffering from injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. According to the police, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical care.
