A spokesperson from Atlantic Station says the shooting happened on the 17th Street Bridge with a fight within a group that led to shots being fired.

According to the police, an argument that began at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night led to a gunshot in the area of Atlantic Station, which resulted in at least one fatality and five further injuries.
According to reports from the Atlanta Police Department, one man passed away as a result of his injuries at the site, and five additional persons were brought to the hospital. According to the police, the ages of those who were shot range from 15 to 21 years old. There were six people shot.
According to the authorities, the huge gathering was escorted off the premises of Atlantic Station by off-duty APD police and Atlantic Station workers owing to the numerous instances of disorderly conduct and violations of the curfew that occur at the popular area.
After moving across to 17th Street near the flyover of the Downtown Connector, the group engaged in a confrontation with one another, which ultimately resulted in shots being fired on Market Street. According to the statements made by the police, it’s probable that the gunfight took place between two different groups, and there could be more than one shooter.
According to the Atlantic Station’s official website, all children under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian are subject to a tight curfew that begins at 3 p.m. and continues until the following morning. Additionally, it stipulates that adolescent gangs consisting of at least four or more members shall be removed from the area.
The Atlantic Station Police Department did not provide any information regarding the location of the group before they were removed from the premises. They are currently seeking to acquire surveillance footage from local households and businesses in the area.
The shooting takes place during a particularly busy period at the well-known shopping and leisure center. The holiday season has gotten many in the neighborhood out and about shopping, which is especially notable given that Black Friday has just come to an end.
In addition, the ever-popular Cirque du Soleil acts brought a large number of people to Atlantic Station all over the weekend to see their performances, which will continue through December 24.
A local resident who lives in the area was able to record a video of the chaotic scenario from a vantage point higher above, with the view from her window looking down onto the street below.
