Shooting reported around the 1200 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown
There are reports of a shooting around the 1200 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown., which is close to the intersection of M St. and Wisconsin Ave.
Just before six o’clock in the evening, Metropolitan Police in Georgetown shut down the 1200 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW between M and N streets NW to conduct an investigation.
Update: MPD has stated one individual is in custody with a gun recovered on scene.
The shooting incident has ended, with police reporting an “all clear” according to a HOYAlert sent at 6:16 p.m.
No injuries have been found.
U.S. Secret Service and MPD responded to the scene.
