Chicago crash leaves ‘six hurt’ after car ‘jumps curb and slams into Uproar restaurant’ with cops searching for driver

According to the Chicago Fire Department, customers of the restaurant were eating outside when a car crashed into the structure after driving over a curb and into it.
There were a total of six people injured, some of whom were seated at a table when they were struck.
According to a statement released by Chicago Fire Media, five people were sent to the hospital, where two of them were listed in a condition ranging from serious to critical.
It was not immediately possible to obtain any other information regarding the victims, including their ages or conditions.
According to the officials from the fire department, the driver of the car sped away from the scene after the horrifying occurred.
The collision was said to have taken place in the 1200 block of North Wells Street.
According to a report by a photojournalist, the car was involved in a collision with the outdoor patio of Uproar, which also resulted in damage to the door of the establishment.
The Chicago Sun-Times reporter reported that “a man on scene who’s near the vehicle is ranting at a bunch of individuals in an apartment over the scene and says it was his vehicle and that it was stolen while he was Ubering.”
When asked for further clarification early on Saturday, the Chicago Police Department stated that they were unable to provide any additional specifics.
During the course of the investigation, it was anticipated that additional information would be made public.
