South Oak Cliff High School cleared by police, No threat

South Oak cliff high school was on lockdown after reports of an armed student.

From SOC Leadership: Today we were made aware of an allegation of a weapon being on campus.

We immediately followed our protocol & went into lockdown to ensure there was no immediate threat.

We were cleared by DPD & resumed instruction. Other narratives are false.

Dallas ISD posted on their Facebook page that All students and staff are safe at South Oak Cliff High School and classes are continuing as normal, following a concerning tip received from a parent.

As a precaution, there will be additional police at that school today.
