Spokane County deputies shot and injured a wanted suspect in Hillyard

Spokane County deputies shot and injured a wanted suspect in Hillyard early Sunday morning.

As per Spokane county sheriffs PIO mark Gregory: Deputy involved shooting at Pittsburg and Lyons in north Spokane.

Corporal Mark Gregory said that the man was being talked to by deputies because he had an arrest warrant.

Gregory stated that bullets were fired, but the specifics of what transpired are unclear at this time.

One person shot and is in the hospital, at this point we don’t know the extent of that person’s injuries.

No law enforcement officers were injured.

Normal protocol has been activated, which means that another law enforcement agency will assume responsibility for the investigation.
