Student in custody for the false active shooter call at Two Rivers Middle School

A 12-year-old 7th grader at Two Rivers Middle School has been arrested for making the false 911 call about an active shooter at the school this morning.

MNPD officers responded & did a walk through of the entire building to ensure its security.

Due to a false report of an active shooter at Two Rivers Middle School in Donelson on Friday morning, a significant police presence was dispatched to the location.

First responders were called to the school, located at 2991 McGavock Pike, just before 9 a.m.

A phoney report of an active shooter having been reported to 911, according to the spokesperson for Metro Nashville Public Schools, Sean Braisted, was given to FOX3.

According to Braisted, there was no immediate danger at the school; however, the lockdown was implemented as a safety measure on the recommendation of the Metro police.

Students were not in danger while they were inside the facility, and officers were investigating the matter to figure out what prompted the call.

The lockdown was removed a few minutes before 10 o’clock in the morning, and parents were given permission to retrieve their children.

Braisted stated that a student dialled 911 with the fake information while they were riding on a school bus. That pupil has been identified, and as a result, they will face disciplinary action from the school, as well as possible legal consequences.

No additional information was immediately released.
