Superintendent of Central Regional School District, Triantafillos Parlapanides, has resigned
The resignation of a school superintendent in New Jersey came just one day after the funeral of a 14-year-old student who tragically took her own life.

Adriana Kuch, a freshman, took her own life after a video of her being subjected to physical abuse by four classmates was shared on social media.
The individuals involved in the bullying incident have been charged, and it is believed that the abuse was premeditated.
The four students recorded the violence for the purpose of sharing it on the internet. Dr. Triantafillos Parlapanides, the former administrator, faced criticism and ultimately resigned over insensitive comments he made regarding the case, including suggestions of Kuch’s behavior and possible drug use.
The remarks were brought to the attention of the school board and the media, and prompt action was taken to address the situation.
When asked if his comments were an attempt to blame the victim, the resigned Superintendent declined to comment further.
The Central Regional School District Board of Education officially accepted Parlapanides’ resignation in a statement released on Saturday evening.
