Suspect in custody after officer-involved shooting in Santa Cruz
NON INJURY OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING

On February 4, 2023, just before 6:00 am, Santa Cruz Police was involved in an officer-involved shooting in the 300 block of Lee Street.
Santa Cruz Police apprehended the suspect.
There are no outstanding suspects or threats to the community.
Neither the officers nor the suspect sustained significant injuries or gunshot wounds.
The Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office is conducting an independent investigation of the shooting, as they do with all officer-involved shootings in Santa Cruz County.
