Suspect in shooting death of a Temple University Police Officer in Philadelphia arrested
Police used the fallen officer’s handcuffs in placing the suspect under arrest.

This morning, a man was apprehended in Buckingham Township in relation to the murder of a Temple University Police Officer near the Temple University campus in Philadelphia.
The suspect was arrested at his residence on Quarry Road in the 2300 block at 7:12 a.m. by various law enforcement agencies, including the Central Bucks Special Response Team, the Buckingham Township Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Philadelphia Police Department, and Pennsylvania State Police.
The police used the deceased officer’s handcuffs to arrest the suspect. Bucks County officials are collaborating with state, Philadelphia, and federal authorities on this ongoing investigation.
To avoid obstructing the investigation and out of respect for the fallen officer, they have ceded the responsibility of releasing more details to the Philadelphia Police Department and Temple University Police Department.
Any inquiries should be directed to those departments. Additionally, no charges have been pressed against the suspect in Bucks County.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office extends its heartfelt sympathies to the family and loved ones of the Temple University Police Officer who lost his life.
