SWAT team dispatched to a Lakeview home where a man was barricaded
S.W.A.T is on the scene at 1000 W. George St. 2 dogs have been shot, one fatally

The Chicago Police Department’s SWAT team was summoned to a Lakeview residence on Tuesday after reports of multiple dogs being shot.
An armed individual was barricaded inside the home located on West George Street.
Three dogs were injured, with one passing away and the others being taken for medical treatment.
The surrounding streets were closed, with armored police trucks and first responder vehicles on the scene.
Nearby Harriet Tubman Elementary School was evacuated as a precaution.
The shooting reportedly occurred when the dogs followed a man into an alley, and the man turned and shot them.
The police have stated that there is no danger to the public.
