Teenage Head guitarist Gord Lewis found dead in his Hamilton, Ontario home; Son Jonathan Lewis charged with second-degree murder

Gord Lewis, the guitarist who started the famous punk rock band Teenage Head, is thought to be the city’s most recent murder victim. His son Jonathan Lewis is said to have killed him in his Hamilton apartment sometime last week.

In the midst of the Hamilton Police Department’s ongoing investigation, the rock star’s 41-year-old son, Jonathan Lewis, was detained and charged with second-degree murder, according to local news sources.

Cops located the co-founder of the punk rock band Teenage Head over the weekend, describing the act as “isolated.”

Monday at a news conference, Detective Sara Beck of Hamilton stated that no more suspects are being sought.

Beck stated that the victim had “injuries consistent with malicious intent.”

“We continue to look for witnesses and check surveillance footage in the vicinity,” she added.

TEENAGE HEAD Facebook page post, “We are heartbroken and still trying to process the loss of our friend, bandmate and brother Gord Lewis Our hearts are with his family and all that knew and loved him. Gord was a force and an inspiration to many. You were taken from us far too soon.

On Monday, the band acknowledged Gord’s passing with a heartfelt Instagram post as his bandmates paid respect.

Lewis started the punk rock band Teenage Head in 1975 with Frankie Venom, who was the lead singer and drummer, and Dave Desroches, who was the lead singer. The band went on to play all over the country before becoming famous all over the world.

“Let’s Shake” and “Some Kinda Fun” are two of Teenage Head’s best-known songs.

The rocker isn’t the first member of the group to die. In 2008, Venom died from throat cancer.
