DECOMPOSED corpse found in Youngtown, Ohio trash can after residents “smelled something,” cops say.

It was confirmed today by the Youngstown Police Department that a human body was discovered in a garbage can in a backyard in the 500 block of Loveless Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday; however, the body was in such poor condition that the authorities are still unsure of whether or not it belonged to a male or a female.
The location of the house is on the eastern side. The incident is being looked into as a possible homicide at this time.
According to Captain Jason Simon, who heads up the detective section, people who were renovating the house that was connected to the property noticed a scent emanating from the backyard. When they checked inside the can, they found the leftovers.
Simon said it before he knew how long the body had been there. Simon said it’s too early to even try to figure out who the person was or how old they were or anything else that could help.
As an explanation for why there has been no press release produced regarding this matter, Simon stated that “there is so much unknown right now.”
The scene takes place near where Loveless Avenue meets Himrod Avenue. There were detectives and a coroner at the scene.
We strongly advise anyone with information to contact the Youngstown Police Department.
