According to the DPS, the driver who was going the wrong way was the only person in the vehicle, and they took him to the hospital after finding him unconscious.

One of the vehicles carrying victims contained three people: two of whom were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and a third individual who was transported to a hospital in critical condition but has since passed away.

There are two victims from the state of Washington who are both 18 years old. The other person is a Hawaiian teenager who is 19 years old. The university has issued a statement confirming that each of the three victims was a GCU student.
