Three individuals, including an 12-year-old boy, were found dead from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide on Porter Road in Andover early Thursday morning.

Andrew Robinson, 56, his wife Linda Robinson, 55, and the couple’s 12-year-old son Sebastian Robinson, were found shot to death inside the home.

During a news conference, Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker stated that the other victims were a 56-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman.

The identities of the victims have not been made public yet, as their family members are being notified.

The boy was confirmed to be a student at St. John’s, leading to the school’s cancellation of classes on Thursday.

All three victims were related, according to Tucker. He assured the public that there is no ongoing threat and referred to the case as a “death investigation.”

Tucker declined to reveal who was responsible for the use of the weapon in the killings.

Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe informed that the police received a 911 call from the house at 3:21 a.m. and had to force entry into the property to find the three victims.

Keefe stated that the Andover police had no prior calls to the residence. District Attorney Paul Tucker encouraged individuals struggling with mental health issues to reach out to his office for support in finding help.

He emphasized that resources are available. A large police presence remained at the scene of the crime, 48 Porter Road, as the investigation continued.

The District Attorney’s Office State Police Detective Unit, along with other Massachusetts State Police units and the Andover Police Department, were working to uncover more information, causing Porter Road to be blocked off to traffic as of 7:45 a.m.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
