More than ten people died on Wednesday night in Nicaragua due to a traffic accident in the department of Estelí.
The Nicaraguan National Police offered details of the unfortunate accident, without mentioning the number of victims. The causes of the tragedy that occurred on Wednesday afternoon are being investigated.
Through a statement, the police force said that this Thursday it will release a more detailed report of the accident.
Information disclosed in the Nicaraguan media indicates that at least 18 people died and 50 were injured in the unfortunate accident.
“The Citizen Power Emergency System, made up of the National Police, Civil Defense of the Nicaraguan Army, Ministry of Health, Unified Firefighters, Immigration and Immigration and the Municipal Mayor’s Office, immediately went to the scene of the accident, helping the victims and transporting them. to the Ada María López Hospital in the municipality of Condega and San Juan de Dios in the department of Estelí, ”says the text of the National Police.
Nicaraguan media speak of at least three vehicles involved, including a bus with 50 passengers, where they indicate that among the people involved in the accident there are Ecuadorian, Cuban and Venezuelan citizens.
