Tri-State Fair shooting leaves one police officer injured, Suspect arrested

At the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo in Texas, a gunman opened fire, injuring three individuals before being shot by sheriff’s deputies, according to the police. Two of the victims were first responders.

According to the Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas, a guy started shooting at off-duty Potter County deputies who were working at the fair in Amarillo just before 11 p.m. on Monday.

According to Thomas, “a male suspect opened fire on cops, injuring a deputy, an off-duty firefighter who was also working at the fair, and a bystander.” The deputy’s return shot injured the suspect.

According to the authorities, a deputy, a firefighter, and a bystander were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. The alleged shooter was sent to the hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening.

Thomas was unable to name any of the victims or the person responsible for the crime. He did not provide any kind of explanation for the shooting, which is currently being looked into by the Texas Rangers.

An eyewitness who stated that they were in the area when the incident took place described the scene as “total chaos.”

Bullets struck a number of automobiles in the vicinity of the incident.
