Tristen Thomas charged in the shooting death of an 18-year-old Tyniece Haley outside Roller skating rink in Shreveport
Haley’s identity was confirmed through a fingerprint comparison.

A murder that occurred on Sunday outside a skating rink has resulted in the arrest of a suspect by the Shreveport Police Department.
Tristen Thomas has been charged with second-degree murder for the shooting death of an 18-year-old woman, Tyniece Haley.
Upon arriving at the scene on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, officers found Haley deceased.

The investigation revealed that she had met with multiple individuals at the skating rink after hours to engage in a physical altercation before being fatally shot.
On surveillance footage, the suspect is observed leaving a vehicle while holding a handgun. They then advanced towards the victim, shooting several times and hitting them in the head once.
On Wednesday morning, Thomas was taken into custody by the police. Haley’s identity was confirmed through a fingerprint comparison.
Her death is the 16th homicide recorded in Shreveport and Caddo Parish for 2023.
