Windber’s ForensicDx will perform autopsies Thursday.
According to the statement made by the Cambria County District Attorney Gregory Neugebauer, “We believe that this was a targeted encounter between parties.” According to our assessment, there is no risk to the surrounding community.
Even still, the presence of gunplay in the city a day before classes begin causes significant cause for concern for law police.
According to Captain Chad Miller of the local police department, “this was a broad daylight gunshot in the middle of the street.”
Millere stated that given one more day, children would be riding buses back to their homes. “It is completely and utterly out of control. It is time for the community to take action.”
After the incident, a portion of Broad Street that had been closed was opened back up about 6 o’clock in the evening.
