Monday night, two persons were injured in a drive-by shooting near the Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Richmond.

Just after 8 o’clock in the evening, officers from the Richmond Police Department responded to a complaint of a shooting that had taken place on the 200 block of South Laurel Street, which is located three blocks away from Monroe Park.
“A car drove past, cracked off a couple of rounds,” said the police officer who responded to the scene in Richmond, Virginia, where two young men had been shot by an unidentified perpetrator who fired from a moving vehicle.
Both of those who were injured were young guys in their twenties, and their wounds were not life-threatening. One was taken to a hospital in the area by friends, while the other was treated there before being taken away in an ambulance.
There is currently no description provided of the suspect or the car that they were driving.
