Two people were shot outside Castleton Square Mall. IMPD says the area is now secure and there is no ongoing threat. Two people were shot, including a juvenile who has since died, in the parking lot of an Indianapolis mall on Tuesday night.
Update: On Tuesday night, there was a shooting in the parking lot of a mall in Indianapolis, and one of the victims, a juvenile, was pronounced dead.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has stated that a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening outside the Castleton Square Mall resulted in the death of a young male and the injury of an adult, and that a third “person of interest” has been recognized.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the address of the mall, which is 6020 E. 82nd Street, for a report of a person who had been shot. They found a male adolescent in critical condition when they arrived, as well as an adult who was in stable health.
According to IMPD, both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention. Later on, the male victim who was a child passed away as a result of his injuries, while the adult victim is currently in stable condition.
The police have stated that they have no reason to believe the location is unsafe and that there is no danger to the general public. However, they have requested that members of the public stay away from the area.

Indianapolis Police are on the site of an active shooting at Castleton Square Mall.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reports that at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, officers located two persons who displayed symptoms that were consistent with having been shot. The location is safe, and there is no active threat that has been identified.
A tweet from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department stated that one of the victims was sent to a local hospital in a serious condition, while the second victim was transported in a stable condition.





The incident took place at the south entrance of the shopping center, next to the H&M and Forever 21 stores.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has requested that community people stay away from the area for the time being.
