Officials have reported a shooting near a Brooklyn high school on Wednesday afternoon, which resulted in three casualties: two teens and a security guard.
The shooting took place at the Williamsburg Charter High School located at 198 Varet St. in Williamsburg around 2 p.m., as reported by the FDNY.
The victims, a 15-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, and a 37-year-old security guard, were shot in the thigh and neck respectively.
They were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
The shooter fled the scene, according to a police spokesperson.
One nearby school was placed on lockdown for approximately an hour and a half as a precaution.
