Richard M. Fierro hailed as a “Hero” for stopping the gunman in the Club Q shooting
Richard Fierro, a veteran of the United States Army, stated that he knocked down the gunman who was responsible for the deaths of five people at Club Q on Saturday while he was there with his family enjoying a drag act.

Richard M. Fierro, who served for 15 years in the military, said he was at Club Q in Colorado Springs with his family, and took down the man who killed five people. He says he went into “Combat Mode” to disarm the gunman.

It has been claimed that a veteran who was in the club with his wife and children at the time of the shooting at Club Q late on Sunday night is one of the persons who stopped the gunman and is being hailed as a hero for their actions.
Richard Fierro, a resident of Colorado Springs, served in the United States Army. According to his wife Jessica, the amount of stress caused by the occurrence and the attention it received was overwhelming. She was afraid that it might bring on his PTSD symptoms.
Fierro, 45, went to the club with his wife and daughter, whom Jessica Fierro identified as Raymond Green’s girlfriend, one of the shooting victims.
According to Jessica Fierro, “She is completely devastated to have lost her boyfriend.” Both the mother and the daughter suffered minor injuries and were now resting at home. The woman’s mother characterized her wounds as being similar to bruises.
According to a report in The New York Times, military records reveal that Richard Fierro separated from the Army with the rank of major in 2013.
Several attendees of Club Q have been praised by witnesses and local officials, including the Mayor of Colorado Springs, John Suthers, with confronting and subduing the gunman until police arrived. These patrons have been hailed as heroes for their actions.

The hero of the affair is said to have tackled the gunman and then beaten him, according to testimonies provided by witnesses. Anderson Lee Aldrich, age 22, was transported to a hospital for treatment after being identified as the culprit. He is currently facing at least ten charges, including five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of a crime motivated by bias.
