After receiving a possible bomb threat, the University of Utah Hospital is assisting law enforcement in their investigation.

After receiving a possible bomb threat, the University of Utah Hospital is assisting law enforcement in their investigation.

The Salt Lake Bomb Squad and the Salt Lake Police Department have both responded to the scene.
The hospital stated in a tweet that they are “continuing to protect the impacted area and we are prioritizing the safety of our team members and patients.”
On Tuesday afternoon, about 4:00, the incident started, and it is still developing.
The Twitter account for Utah Alerts has referred to it as a “critical incident” in its posts about it.
100 South and Mario Capecchi to the front of the hospital is closed and the public is asked to avoid the area at this time.
We will provide any new information that we have in connection with this occurrence.
