US President Joe Biden lifts travel ban on African countries

Washington – US President Joe Biden has announced the lifting of travel bans on African countries, aimed at curbing the spread of a new strain of the coronavirus omecron.

According to US media, the Biden administration had imposed a travel ban on South Africa and seven other African countries due to the Omicron variant, which will now be lifted from December 31, Fox3 Now has learned.
The African countries that were banned included Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique and Malawi.
Under the ban, US citizens or other persons could not travel to the United States from those countries.
US President Joe Biden says there is no need to extend the travel ban imposed on public health.
