Weslaco High School on lockdown due to a call of a possible student with a gun

All students are accounted for and unharmed.

Update: Parents will be able to reunite with their children at the Bobby Lackey Stadium Parking lot, and the students will only be released to their parents there. To access the parking lot, individuals must use the Panther Drive entrance, where law enforcement personnel will direct traffic.

Weslaco High School is currently being attended to by the Weslaco Police Department after a report of a student potentially carrying a firearm.

As a precautionary measure, the police department has put the school on lockdown.

Fortunately, no gunfire has been reported, and the investigation is ongoing.

All students are accounted for and unharmed.

Police request parents to refrain from interfering with the investigation and allow us to conduct it seamlessly.

If any parents wish to pick up their children, they are asked to head to the South Texas College parking lot, situated at Huisache and Border Avenue.
