Suspect in custody after possibly ran inside Wisdom High School

Update: According to Troy Finner, Chief of the Houston Police Department, a Crime Suppression Team was keeping an eye on a violent group at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. During the course of the surveillance, there was a brief exchange of gunfire between the suspect and the cops in the vicinity of an apartment complex located in the 6400 block of Westheimer Road.

According to Finner, a suspect who was roughly 18 years old was shot in the knee, and another suspect who could have been 17 years old was apprehended at the site.

After the shooting, witnesses reported to authorities that a third suspect had received transportation from a civilian. The citizen informed detectives that he was under the impression that he was giving the child a ride back to Wisdom High School, which is located at 6529 Beverly Hill, and that he was unaware of his involvement in anything.

The suspect entered the auditorium of the auditorium of Wisdom High School. There were at least 100 more students in the auditorium.

At 2:11 p.m., police reported that the suspect had been apprehended. Finner reports that agencies were able to securely enter the school and arrest the suspect.

A firearm was seized near the apartment building where the suspect was apprehended.

Today, February 2, 2022, Wisdom High School was temporarily placed on lockdown after an unauthorized individual trespassed on campus. HISD police were immediately notified, investigated and the suspect was taken into custody.

Students will be dismissed at 4:10 p.m. Walkers will be released by neighborhood and bus riders will take their bus home.

According to the Houston Police Department, a suspect has been taken into custody after fleeing into Wisdom High School on Thursday. The incident took place in west Houston.

As soon as the school was made aware of the possible threat within the building, it went into lockdown mode. The school system has reported that neither students nor staff members were hurt in the incident.

Officers opened fire on a second suspect on Westheimer Road at Hillcroft Avenue, which is approximately fifteen minutes away from the high school. Nobody in the police force was hurt.

At this moment, it is unknown what led to the occurrence of this incident.

The police requested that everyone stay away from the area.
