Two adults and five children were killed Sunday in McHenry County after two vehicles collided on Interstate 90, according to Illinois State Police.

According to Illinois State Police, a violent head-on collision early on Sunday in the far northwest suburbs left seven individuals dead, including five children.
Near Hampshire in McHenry County, all lanes on the Jane Addams Tollway that go west are still closed.
State police say that a van was going the wrong way on westbound I-90 when it hit another car head-on at 2:11 a.m. Both cars caught on fire all the way through.
State police reported that seven individuals were killed, including a woman and five children in the van and another woman in the other vehicle. Their identities are yet unknown.
At least one individual with significant injuries was flown to a neighboring hospital.
Near milepost 33, the westbound lanes will be closed for an unknown amount of time. At Anthony Road, people are being sent off of the interstate.
Since then, the eastbound lanes of I-90 are back open.
